Pain with Sex

Pain with sex isn’t something you have to live with.

Pain with penetration. Dryness. Pain that makes you avoid intimacy.

If you’ve been told everything looks “normal,” but sex still hurts, this is where things start to make sense.

This is for you if:

• You have pain with penetration

• Sex feels tight, burning, or uncomfortable

• You feel dry—even when you’re aroused

• You’ve stopped having sex because it hurts

• You’ve tried lubricants or treatments, and it hasn’t fully helped

WHAT’S ACTUALLY GOING ON…

Pain with sex is usually caused by more than one thing.

Most patients have:

  • Changes in vaginal tissue

  • The tissue depends on estrogen and testosterone

  • When these are low, tissue becomes more sensitive and prone to pain

  • Pelvic floor muscle tension

  • Tight muscles make penetration painful

  • Nerve sensitivity

  • Pain becomes more easily triggered over time

These are connected.

If you treat only one, symptoms often continue.

Pain with sex is often connected to pelvic pain and hormonal changes, which are both addressed as part of your care.

This is what I do differently.

I treat the actual causes of pain with sex.

Most patients need a combination of:

  • Restoring vaginal tissue health using estrogen and testosterone

  • Relaxing the pelvic floor muscles with targeted treatments

  • Treating pain at the muscle and nerve level

  • Coordinating with pelvic floor physical therapy when needed

  • Advanced treatments when needed, including vaginal Botox injections

Your treatment plan is built around what is actually causing your symptoms.

You are not broken, and this is treatable.

Most of my patients have already tried multiple treatments and are still in pain.

This is the step that finally moves things forward.

How it Works

  1. We start with a comprehensive visit

  2. I identify what’s actually causing your pain

  3. You leave with a clear plan

You deserve to have pain-free sex.
